Designed specifically for established businesses — typically two years in operation and generating approximately $250,000 in annual gross revenue — the Foundation delivers structured training, mentoring, and certification opportunities that prepare companies for long-term sustainability, supply-chain readiness, and expanded market visibility across Gwinnett County and the Metro Atlanta region. Small Business Impact Institute (SBII)

Training at its Best. At the core of the Foundation’s work is the Small Business Impact Institute (SBII) — a structured training & certification platform designed to equip growth-minded business owners with the tools required to scale responsibly and strategically.

SBII delivers three focused educational tracks covering the most critical components of next-level business growth:

  1. Leadership & Executive Development: Strengthening decision-making, operational structure, team leadership, and long-term strategy.
  2. Financial Management: Building stronger financial systems, understanding capital readiness, improving cash flow management, and preparing for contract expansion.
  3. Technology & Cybersecurity: Modernizing business infrastructure, strengthening digital security, and ensuring operational resilience in an increasingly technology-driven economy.

These tracks are intentionally designed for real-world application — helping small businesses in Gwinnett become more competitive, more resilient, and more prepared for growth opportunities across the Atlanta marketplace.

Certifying the Qualified. Education prepares businesses. Certification positions them. An integrated, optional component of the Foundation’s SBII tracks above is helping qualified businesses pursue critical supply-chain readiness certifications that expand opportunity and visibility in competitive markets.

These certifications increase visibility for government contracts, subcontracting opportunities, corporate supplier programs, and vendor partnerships. For many businesses, certification becomes the gateway to participation in larger supply chains across Gwinnett County, Metro Atlanta, and beyond.

Ready. Set. Scale. is a community-based small business acceleration model deployed in partnership with local organizations across Gwinnett County. Built on the Foundation’s cohort-based education framework and powered by the Verizon/LISC Digital Ready platform, the program helps businesses identify growth barriers, strengthen core capabilities, and prepare for long-term supply-chain readiness.

Delivered through curated, in-person coursework informed by a targeted business diagnostic, Ready. Set. Scale. partners with local municipalities, community improvement districts, and other organizations to create measurable near-term impact while building a strategic pipeline into the Foundation’s Supply-Chain Readiness Certification cohorts.

Digital Education Access

Through grant funding and partnership with LISC and Verizon, the Foundation also provides access to a wide range of virtual education resources. Eligible businesses receive complimentary access to digital webinars and training designed to strengthen daily business operations — from marketing and financial literacy to technology implementation and digital security.

This online education platform expands access to professional development for small businesses seeking flexible, high-quality training solutions.
