Programs

At the Gwinnett Chamber Foundation (GCF), we recognize the invaluable contributions of minority, veteran and women (MVW) entrepreneurs to our economy and are committed to providing them with the resources and opportunities necessary to thrive in the competitive business landscape.

Small Business Brown Bag Power Hour Series

Cohort members will participate in our bi-monthly “Small Business Brown Bag Power Hour” series.

MBE Cohort

Through our Certification Support Program, GCF aims to empower MVW-owned businesses with the tools and resources needed to obtain and leverage certifications effectively. We will identify and select an initial cohort of 25 MVW-owned businesses through a competitive application process. Selected businesses will receive assistance in obtaining their MBE certification, paving the way for increased growth and profitability. To further support cohort members’ growth and success, each business will be assigned an industry-focused small business coach.

Verizon Small Business Digital Ready Program

This free learning platform was developed in partnership with small business owners like you, who understand what it takes to succeed in the digital economy. The program is simple to use, with all the information available online in one place. After getting to know your business, we’ll provide resources, networking and coaching tailored to your specific needs. The program can help your business move forward in four ways:

  1. Personalized learning
  2. Expert coaching
  3. Peer networking
  4. Incentives

Additional Grant Offerings

In addition to MBE certification support, GCF will provide ongoing grant offerings to help cohort members obtain other state and federal certifications essential for expanding their business opportunities. These grants will enable businesses to broaden their access to government contracts and supplier diversity programs, thus enhancing their competitiveness in the marketplace.

Funding & Partnerships

GCF does not directly provide grants to small businesses. Instead, cohort funding is made possible through partnerships with local, state, and federal certifying agencies, as well as non-profit organizations with expertise in certification areas. These collaborations enable us to leverage resources and maximize impact, ensuring that MVW-owned businesses receive comprehensive support to thrive and prosper.

Supplier Diversity

Supplier diversity is a strategic business practice that ensures a diverse supplier base in the procurement of goods and services by corporations, government agencies, and educational institutions. It aims to create a level playing field for historically underrepresented businesses, including minority-owned, veteran-owned, and women-owned enterprises. By fostering an inclusive supplier ecosystem, supplier diversity enhances innovation, drives economic growth, and promotes inclusive economic prosperity.
