The Gwinnett Chamber Foundation (GCF) is pleased to announce the receipt of a $70,000 grant, made possible by JP Morgan Chase, Verizon Small Business, and LISC Atlanta (Local Initiatives Support Corporation). This grant will fund GCF’s inaugural Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification cohort, a vital initiative to support underrepresented entrepreneurs.
Executives from LISC Atlanta, Dale Royal (Executive Director) and Jewel Williams (Program Manager), presented the grant check to GCF’s Executive Director, Deirdra Cox, and Gwinnett Chamber President & CEO, Nick Masino. Members of the Gwinnett Chamber Foundation Board and Gwinnett Chamber staff members joined the celebratory occasion.
“This grant signifies a shared commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the local business community,” said Cox. “Through partnerships with esteemed organizations, GCF aims to amplify its impact and provide valuable resources to minority, veteran, and women-led small businesses.”
Entrepreneurs interested in the MBE certification cohort are encouraged to visit the Foundation’s website for application details. This initiative offers a unique opportunity for businesses to gain certification and access essential support networks.
Cox added, “At GCF, we are dedicated to creating an environment where all entrepreneurs can thrive. With the support of our partners and community, we are confident in our ability to build a more inclusive and prosperous future.”
