The Gwinnett Chamber Foundation (GCF) hosted its first Brown Bag Power Hour event, aimed at minority, veteran, and women-led (MVW) small businesses seeking to scale through minority business enterprise (MBE) certification.
The session began with an overview of supplier diversity’s importance in leveling the business playing field. Attendees learned about GCF’s Certification Support Program, which will aid 25 selected businesses in obtaining MBE certification, fostering growth and profitability. While GCF doesn’t directly provide grants, collaborations ensure support for MVW-led businesses. Attendees were encouraged to apply for the MBE certification cohort before the May 21 deadline, with details available on GwinnettChamberFoundation.org.
The event underscores GCF’s dedication to empowering MVW-led businesses and fostering a vibrant business community. Stay tuned for future events and engagement opportunities and follow the Gwinnett Chamber Foundation on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, today!
